Since ancient
times, transportation is the main means by which a country or a society
transports their cargos from one place to other and which supports a country in
its development.
The core of freight
logistics and transportation revolves on managing freight in such a manner that
it concentrates on succeeding the competition with other freight logistics and
transportation agencies by guarantying faster delivery of cargos in its high quality and at comparatively lesser
expenses
In today's scenario
freight logistics and transportation has become even more important with the
growth of international trade. Economical condition of any country widely
depends on the availability of a good logistics and transportation system.
Both logistics and
transportation are the most important conveniences for a country to run its
economy successfully. If a country's logistics and transportation is not proper
then circulating freights and other supplies will be not be possible.
If a country needs
to import any cargos or some other goods like grains or petroleum products in
case it is going down by these materials or wants to export its products to
other countries market then its only possible by its strong logistics and
transportation services.
Although both
logistics and transportation services are two different services, but in fact
they are directly associated with each other.
Without
transportation there is no meaning of logistics and in the same way without
logistics transportation can not be done. Both logistics and transportation
services are closely connected to each other.
Logistics is known
as the practice done at the origin point of the source which involves packing
of goods, managing them properly and using the transportation service to
delivery it to the consumers or to the final destination.
Transportation
means the transfer and distribution of materials and resources between the
point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet the requirements
of consumers.
Many times a
collective medium of transportation are utilized to transport goods more faster
and more easier. Transportation can be done by only three means i.e, by air, by
land and by water.
